ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Housing Strategy (SDHS) will report to the EVP Real Estate with a focus on real estate financial and market analysis, economic advisory, development and analysis of land lease and sale structures to support desired housing outcomes, research and fostering partnership approaches to drive housing innovation.
The SDHS will facilitate interdepartmental collaboration, bringing their knowledge of housing delivery models and tools to support CLC’s regional approach to land development toward the advancement of housing and affordable housing goals, while accountable to corporate strategic priorities.
The SDHS will also facilitate collaboration with Legal, Finance and Environmental Sustainability and Governance (“ESG”) teams, and the Enterprise Risk Management program, to advance housing strategy and report on results while building external relationships with the housing industry and integrating knowledge and intelligence into the work of CLC’s real estate teams.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Post-secondary degree, diploma and certifications in business administration, real estate, urban planning, housing policy administration and project management with 10+ years in housing analysis, real estate financial and market analysis, economic advisory and deal structuring for housing innovation.
- Familiarity with housing policy guidelines and relevant federal/provincial agreements and legislation.
- Practical experience facilitating cross-functional teams to drive value, challenge assumptions, and translate strategic goals into specific, actionable plans.
- Experience with profit and loss (P&L) accountability and achievement of sales and revenue targets.
- Ability to build strong relationships, including the ability to advise and influence decision-makers.
- Big picture thinker with an understanding of matrix organization and balance of local operational and corporate-strategic drivers.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
