ABOUT THE ROLE
As Compensation Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s compensation strategies and enhancing our total rewards offerings.
This position is designed for a strategic thinker who is results-oriented and has a strong focus on aligning compensation programs with business objectives.
You will collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, internal stakeholders and external vendors to develop and implement competitive compensation policies and analytical solutions that drive employee engagement and performance.
You will not only shape the compensation landscape within the organization but also significantly influence employee satisfaction and retention.
By ensuring that compensation programs are competitive and aligned with market trends, you will contribute to the overall success of our business strategies and help attract top talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compensation Management (40% of time)
- Oversee and refine compensation programs for union and non-union associates to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. This includes managing market analysis, job evaluation, and compliance with legislative requirements.
- Market Trends & Analytics (40% of time)
- Research and implement innovative compensation solutions that enhance our employee value proposition. Develop analytics that provide insights to support business decisions and improve operational efficiencies within compensation systems.
- Leadership Development (20% of time)
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team by establishing professional development plans and conducting performance evaluations. You will play a key role in building a strong team culture focused on achieving annual goals and fostering individual growth.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or equivalent HR certification.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in compensation and market trends.
- More than 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in market analysis, job evaluation, pay equity, and compensation plan design.
- Exceptional ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies.
- Results-oriented, strategic, and analytical thinker with a keen attention to detail and quality.
- Strong capacity to prioritize and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Superior interpersonal and relationship management skills, with a strong commitment to motivating and developing team members.
